Our Mission
Why We Made This Magazine
Welcome to Kirkos Kids MagazineWe created this special online magazine because we believe that learning about our Orthodox Christian Faith should be a joyful and exciting adventure for every child. In a world full of distractions, we wanted to build a safe and fun place where children can:
- โ Discover amazing stories: From the Bible to the lives of incredible Saints.
- โ Explore our rich traditions: Understand why we do what we do in our beautiful Church.
- โ Grow closer to God: Through engaging lessons, prayers, and activities.
- โ Connect with their heritage: Especially for our Ethiopian Orthodox children around the world, learning about their unique and ancient faith.
Our mission is to plant seeds of faith, wisdom, and love in young hearts, helping them understand the wonder of being an Orthodox Christian in a way that truly sparks their imagination!
The Holy Church, in her wisdom and great love, teaches us that all things are a gift from God. Therefore, in the spirit of humility and gratitude, we offer this work not for our own glory, but for the glory of God and the edification of His children.
Our mission, as we have received it, is to serve as a small lamp to guide young souls. We hope to present the divine truths of our Orthodox faith in a way that is both accessible and beautiful, helping children to love and cherish the timeless traditions handed down to us by the Saints.
We do this with the humble prayer that God will use our efforts to plant a seed of faith in young hearts. May this work, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, help them to grow in wisdom and virtue, preparing them for a life of prayer and service in the vineyard of our Lord.
